Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
EarGuard ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1.What we collect
We only collect information needed to process your order and respond to your enquiries:
- Contact details: your name, email address, and (if provided) phone number and company.
- Shipping details: the delivery address you enter at checkout.
- Order details: what you purchased, quantity, and order history.
- Enquiry details: anything you send us through our contact or bulk-order form.
We do not store your credit or debit card numbers. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, which handles your card details directly. They never touch our servers.
2.How we use your information
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders.
- To send order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates.
- To respond to your questions and bulk-order enquiries.
- To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
3.Who we share it with
We only share your information with the third parties needed to get your order to you:
- Stripe, to process your payment securely.
- Delivery carriers (e.g. Australia Post), to ship and track your order.
- Government or law-enforcement bodies, only where required by law.
4.How we protect it
Your data is stored on secured servers and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to order and customer records is protected by a strong administrator password and short-lived authenticated sessions, with rate-limited login and audited session activity. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations.
5.Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are essential for it to work and to keep your session secure (for example, login and checkout). Where we have enabled website analytics or advertising, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Microsoft Clarity, those third-party services may set their own cookies to measure traffic, understand how the site is used, and measure advertising, which can include tracking across other websites. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will stop checkout and login from working.
6.Your rights
You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. To make a request, email us at orders@earguard.com.au.
If you have a privacy concern you believe we have not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
7.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
